I took microfiction in undergrad and it probably was the most impactful course I took when it came to informing me about the economy of words. Now, I am a naturally verbose person, but I also learned to appreciate punchy brevity and the class is responsible for introducing me to G.A. Ingersol’s Test, which fundamentally changed how I approach everything.
