Part of the exercise of the paraluman series has been been this idea of repurposing. Taking random stills and finding new meaning in them. This particular photo is from a mall I went to a few weeks ago. It did not seem to be advertising anything in particular, but somebody did in fact design in and it was in fact used, and today I’ve been thinking about the amount of words necessary to transform something in the public space to make it my own and I think I want to spend more words dissecting this series going forward.
