A Tier List of Self Made Zines

So, last month, I made 30 zines in 30 days. I did this because 1) I wanted to and 2) there was/is a chance I will find my way to Portland, OR to table in aznzinefest. I will find my way to Portland regardless, but it’s just matter of whether I go as vendor or visitor. But since I pride myself on being prepared, I’m making a tier list.
Now, the phrase tier list usually represents something like fondness or power, which is kind of applicable here, but really what I’m going for is “approximate level of investment into production and copies I’m going to make.” So the tiers are gonna look funky.
And this is where the text version of the post is gonna diverge from the video version of the post, and that’s just gonna be a thing everyone’s gonna have to be okay with.
TIER | ZINE |
|---|---|
Not for Sale | |
One of a Kind | |
Three of a Kind | Zine 5, Zine 6, Zine 7, Zine 10, Zine 12, Zine 13, Zine 14, Zine 15, Zine 16, Zine 17, Zine 21, Zine 22, Zine 23, Zine 25 |
Five of a Kind | |
Ten of a Kind | |
Twenty of a Kind printed in multicolor | |
Twenty Four of a Kind with Sealed Envelope |
So fourteen times three, six time five, ten, twenty times four, twenty four.. That’s… 186 zines? That seems like a reasonable baseline.
My plan for events like these is never actually to make money but to recoup some of the production costs.
I will also have the printed copies of paraluman available, but that’s more of a thing for me to note than anything else.
