A Rare Off Schedule Post - "A Boring Life" Recap

Sometime in August, I got an email from the St. Louis County Library system about a “Your Story on Stage” program, where some number of stories would be selected to be performed by the Repertory Theatre.
I submitted my story in October, and it was one of six selected (out of thirty by my count).
And today, I got to see it performed.
You can find the original audio here. You can view my original transcript here.
And you can watch a recording of the event taken from my cell phone.
Some notes about the performance.
I feel someway about being referred with he/him/his in the beginning of the story, but it was also accurate to the time frame of the story and I remain masculine presenting and it’s something I’ll always think about.
I did in fact tear up at my own work being performed on stage and hearing how it resonated with different people in the audience.
DeAnté Bryant did a really wonderful job and I remain honored and blessed that he was entrusted with my tale.
