Minimalissimo Weekly Edit
Minimalissimo in Design
Hello. I hope you’ve had a good week. As you may know, we’re quietly working on our next printed edition of the magazine. A quick timeline is as follows: we’re aiming to finalise the longlist of features by the end of August, then finalising the shortlist of features by mid September (after confirming with creators), completing the contents and design by end of October, and then hopefully going to print at some point in November. It’s tentative, but that’s the plan.
Our features over the past week include a conversation with Ukrainian designer Victoria Yakusha where we gain a better understanding of the country’s design style and community. We celebrate the furniture design of Daniel Schofield with his wonderful Blur Tables series, and we admire the beautiful brutalism of Fabian Tan’s Bewboc House in Kuala Lumpur. Have a read, take it slow, and enjoy your Sunday.

Creator Interview with Victoria Yakusha (Interior Designer)
“Ukrainian design is guided not just with functionality, but also with dreams, emotions, and feelings. We are not as minimalist as the Scandinavians and not as emotional as the Italians. We sit in the middle.”
Blur Tables
Simple is not easy. Easy just happens, but simple is planned, carefully curated, and well executed. And when working glass, this can of course be very complex. We spoke to furniture designer Daniel Schofield to discuss his beautiful Blur Tables collection, made for Conran, and comprised of fluted glass.
Bewboc House
Full of personality and clever surprises, Bewboc House by Fabian Tan is a refreshing take on minimal residential architecture. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the unique dwelling contrasts with the traditional homes of the surrounding area. From the bold exterior to the engaging interior, this design is sure to delight.
