Minimalissimo Weekly Edit
Minimalissimo in Design
Hello. I hope you've had a good week. We've been spending some time this week on researching potential projects that we can feature in Minimalissimo Nº4. As this edition is more of a photographic journey compared to previous editions, the number of projects will be greater, so the curation process will take quite a bit longer. But it's going well and the longlist is looking good. This part should be completed next week. Then it's a matter of finalising projects and having fun with the art direction.
Our features over the past week include a conversation with one of Britain's most distinguished furniture designers, Matthew Hilton. His work is a joy to explore and truly exemplifies simplicity in design. We also visit Lisbon to celebrate the exceptional minimalist architecture of Aires Mateus' Casa Em Campolide. In our featured mood, we showcase the simple shapes and natural materials through the lens of artist Eloisa Iturbe and designers Estudio Diario. Have a read, take it slow, and enjoy your Sunday.

Interview with Matthew Hilton (Furniture Designer)
"I like simple quality which works well and lasts. Things don't even need to be beautiful, just not ugly. It seems so easy and obvious to me and yet it is hard to find products which fulfil those criteria."
Casa Em Campolide
Aires Mateus has captured our hearts and imaginations again with Casa Em Campolide in Lisbon, Portugal. A unique blend of materials, this design challenges our notions of what a minimalist dwelling should look like while strongly adhering to the design principles of "less is more" and "form follows function".

Stairway to Less
Stairs provide a simple and easy means of moving between levels. However, stairs can be so much more than that. Stairs can be elegant, modern, durable, and functional. They can be a staple of a home that connect spaces in the most beautiful way.
