Minimalissimo Weekly Edit

Minimalissimo in Design

Hello. I hope you've had a good week. We focused quite a bit of time through the week on the shop, really trying to understand what things people would expect, enjoy, and experience from Minimalissimo. We determined that we should be offering more reading material such as books and magazines on minimalism in design and art. We will continue to offer a mix of digital and printed goods as well. And because like many of you, we are already looking ahead to 2021, we have just added the Stendig Calendar for pre-order, which was designed by the great Massimo Vignelli in 1966. Expect a number of interesting additions in the very near future.

Our features over the past week include a relaxed theme featuring interior design, furniture design, and a mood of quiet reflection. We also celebrate the lighthearted yet fragile glass design work of Yuhsien Lin. Have a read, take it slow, and enjoy your Sunday.

—Carl Barenbrug, Creative Director

Bubble

Inspired from the ephemerality of bubbles and their ever-changing shapes, Yuhsien Lin imagined a series of fragile-looking vessels that serve as protective layers for equally fragile objects inside. The result is Bubble, a collection of flower covers made of glass with organic forms.
