Minimalissimo Weekly Edit
Minimalissimo in Design
Hello. I hope you've had a good week. Been making some plans. Paper plans that might change and evolve, but plans nevertheless. From next week I'll be focusing on a couple of things besides quality curation: lofi designs of the new Minimalissimo website and a new 3D model desk accessory design for the home (or office). Both should be fun to work on, which will take us to the end of year to realise. It will be an interesting way to cap off the year and begin a new one. I'll look at sharing some sketches with you as we progress. Feedback is always welcome.
We recently published a book. Our best work yet. You should definitely buy a copy 🖤
Our recent features include a couple of architecture projects that are very different; one is grand and composed almost entirely of concrete, the other is small and built almost entirely with wood. Both beautiful examples of minimal design. And in our featured mood we celebrate the future of production with our collection of 3D models. Have a read, take it slow, and enjoy your Sunday.

Features
House in Mukainada
A masterfully minimal concrete dwelling in Japan by Kazunori Fujimoto Architects. House in Mukainada is located on the top of a former cape, which has a 20 metres height difference from the sea level and overlooks Hiroshima Bay. A large, fort-like house emerges from a sea of green with thick walls that provide a sense of security against the possibility of natural disasters. Still, the wide rooftop area provides a clear sense of spaciousness and from the generous proportions of interior spaces.
Four Cornered Villa
Few things in life are as cosy as a warm cabin on a snowy night. Nestled in the woods of Finland, Four Cornered Villa is the envy of anyone looking for a warm place to spend the winter. There is only one word to describe the comfort of a site such as this: hygge.

Magne Turntable
The call for nostalgia is usually regarded as a downfall of design. But instances where designers derive basic elements from classic items and reinterpret them to apply in the contemporary market have resulted in many innovative and beautiful ideas—one of them being the Magne Turntable by Bergmann Audio.
