Minimalissimo Weekly Edit

What's Happening?

Hello. I hope you've had a good week. For some of us, the chaos of Christmas is kicking off and for others, it is a period to begin winding down for quiet, rest, and reflection. There's still a lot I'd like to get done this month, but some of it is out of my hands, so who knows, really. Anyway, if you are looking to find a simple gift for a loved one or indeed yourself, we curated a little guide with a handful of objects.

Over the past couple of weeks, we've been working on our website redesign. A lot of things will likely change, but I thought it would be interesting to you to see a glimpse of what we're working on. This screen is a snippet of one of our archived articles. We're still experimenting with a lot of elements though. Hopefully more to show by the end of the year.

Check out some of our recent features and one from the archive below. You should also buy our beautiful new photo book, Selection: Architecture. Have a read, take it slow, and enjoy your Sunday.

Features

Ronda House

An open and undefined system capable of functioning as a backdrop to whoever inhabits it—a propositional system, not a limiting one. This is the minimalist Ronda House designed by HANGHAR architects from Madrid, Spain.

Amred Clinic

Designed by Project Mark, Amred Clinic is a bright space that uses curves as a cohesive architectural language. A tunnel of arching light strips leads one inside at the entrance, re-adjusting navigational senses for a monumental effect upon entering the reception. The geometric logo is magnified as LED screens to project a gentle flow of time, contrasting against outside activities that are hectically carried forth by the flow of life.

Avenida del Oeste Apartment

The stunning Avenida del Oeste Apartment, designed by Balzar Arquitectos, is steps away from the historic Ciutat Vella neighbourhood in Valencia, Spain. The perfect blend between traditional and modern design, the apartment is a unique ode to the historic building in which it resides.
