Minimalissimo Weekly Edit
What's Happening?
Hello. Happy new year! We're still in holiday mode here, at least for the most part. Although I did spend most of yesterday redesigning the Minimalissimo shop which we'll be launching in tandem with the main site in a couple of months. I'm also working on a new setup for the office, which is still a WIP, but within a month or two it should be on point. I'll share some shots of it when done. In the meantime, I hope you're making some time for rest, planning for a less restricted year, and motivated to make some changes.
Check out some of our recent features and one from the archive below. You should also buy our beautiful new photo book, Selection: Architecture. Have a read, take it slow, and enjoy your Sunday.

Features
Cercal House
Designed by Lisbon-based architecture office atelier DATA, Cercal House is a minimalist holiday home where time and space are not separate dimensions but rather interdependent. There is the time that corresponds to the cycles of nature, the time of those who inhabit the place, and the space that is shaped and influenced by the architecture.
Miroku Nara
Miroku Nara is a hotel design by Japanese firm Keiji Ashizawa Design, located by the shores of "Araike" at the southern end of Nara Park, where you can see UNESCO heritage sites such as the five-storey Kofukuji Pagoda and the Kasugayama Primeval Forest.
Notabene Flagship Store
The new Notabene Flagship Store in Copenhagen is a playful interaction of masculinity and femininity, soft and hard, raw and polished. Designed by Norm Architects, the store is a minimalist interior project that goes beyond a luxury display to juxtapose opposites and highlight each element individually. Simple and elegant, it’s a masterful project.

Interview with Hee Welling
"It’s important to sometimes slow down and review the process and product carefully, especially with furniture, because there’s so many parameters you need to fulfil to make it a great design. And I think it’s extremely important to communicate that to students studying design."
