Minimalissimo Weekly Edit
Letter Nº19
Hello. Hope you're doing well. Thanks to those of you who sent me over your desk setups last week. Very interesting to see what you use, especially your choice of chair. This past week my iMac display finally started failing on me after 5 years, which was brought on by a power cut we experienced. It must have damaged the display somehow. Anyway, I couldn't really operate on minimum brightness, so I had to invest in a new monitor. I went for the 27" Samsung Space Monitor, which is really nice. It's not super high spec or anything, but it does what I need. So this setup will do me for the remainder of the year I think.
In other news, this week we sold out our printed copies of Minimalissimo Nº3, which is cool to see. We're now selling it in digital format, which is still a great reading experience, but you do miss out on the tactility of the paper. One of our stockists and sponsors, Mure, still have a handful of copies left in stock, so hit them up if you want to grab one.
Our features over the past week include a visit to Tokyo to admire the incredible architecture of Nendo's Stairway House. We continue with the Japanese influence in taking a close look at Muji's prefabricated Plain House, and we pay tribute to the great and ever-influential product designer Dieter Rams in our featured mood. Have a read, take it slow, and enjoy your Sunday.

Features
Stairway House
Located in a quiet residential area of Tokyo, Japan, Stairway House was designed for a two-family unit of different generations, and is centred around one major feature—its stairs. Immediately, you notice the key difference between a typical stairway and that of this exquisitely minimalist dwelling—it runs from the outside to the inside.
Plain House
Following their line of prefabricated timber homes, lifestyle brand Muji recently launched Plain House—a translation for Yō no Ie—targeted toward suburban areas in Japan.
