Minimalissimo Weekly Edit
Minimalissimo in Design
Hello. I hope you’ve had a good week. I’ve recently been thinking about the surge of newsletters and why this medium is still such a widely used tool for updating readers. Is the beauty in its limitations? Compared to websites, where you can pretty much do anything, newsletters are stunted and basic, but also pure. Or is it that your inbox is seemingly an ideal notification stream? Unlikely. It’s probably a mess unless you’re obsessively organised like me. Is it the simplicity of publishing them? Maybe, but publishing a blog post is just as simple. I think we’re riding a newsletter wave at the moment, particularly the premium ones. I’d personally rather see a shift to blogs again and encouraging users to make better use of RSS readers. Our web developer, Manu Moreale, wrote an interesting post on the subject.
Anyway, this week we launched a new digital product in collaboration with Studio Lenzing. It’s not exactly breaking new boundaries, but I like it, it’s simple, well-made, and something we use daily. Desktop wallpapers.
For all projects we’re working on, you can see updates in our Sync, which you’ll get access to by becoming a member.
Our features over the past week include a blend of furniture design, pref-fab architecture, and vibrant colour. Yes, colour. Have a read, take it slow, and enjoy your Sunday.
