Minimalissimo Weekly Edit
Minimalissimo in Design
Hello. I hope you've had a good week. Did you have fun on the stock market? If you didn't buy any stocks, at least the whole thing was entertaining. This has been a pretty wild start to the year. Anyway, it was a comparitively quiet week for us, but we're excited to publish a new interview on the site tomorrow with a German design duo we have admired for a long time: kaschkasch. Besides that, we have just been focusing on quality research to bring you some great design insipiration over the coming weeks. Of course, we're quietly working on some studio projects too, but there's nothing ready to unveil quite yet.
For all projects we're working on, you can see updates in our Sync, which you'll get access to by becoming a member.
Our features over the past week include a focus on homewares, highlighting two exceptional designs in the form of the clean cut Argument vases and the sculptural OBJ-01 table lamp. And in our featured mood we showcase the beauty of dark residential facades. Have a read, take it slow, and enjoy your Sunday.

Features
Argument Vases
Sharp edges and right angles, instead of soft flowing shapes, these vases—made by German and Berlin-based design studio, Argument—break with the usual typologies of its kind. An interplay of lines, surfaces, and volumes creates the illusion of intersecting individual bodies.
OBJ-01 Lamp
With his first object—OBJ-01 Lamp—Manu Bañó investigates the minimality in material usage, assemblage, and aesthetics. Using geometrical forms, the designer applies simple rectangles and circles to be cut from a sheet of raw metal. Two-dimensional shapes are distributed smartly on a single plate and brought together into a 3D object with ease.
