MINIMALISSIMO EDITED
This monthly edition of the Minimalissimo Newsletter is supported by aprile, the hanging chair
Spring is here—at least for us in the northern hemisphere—and spring, like fall, always feels like a transitional period. We leave the cold weather behind and the warm one slowly takes its place. And just like that, the mountains no longer wear their traditional white winter coats and the days are filled with the chirping of birds and the buzz of bees.
I spend a decent amount of time out in nature and looking at the mountains made me reflect on something: is winter the more minimalist of the four seasons? It sure seems that way.

Winter is arguably the most monochrome of the four and certainly the quietest. If you ever had the pleasure to walk outside on a snowy winter night you know what I’m talking about. At the same time though, winter is—again, for us in the northern hemisphere—a season of holidays and festivities. And those are the antithesis of minimalism: flashy lights, pointless consumerism, colours galore. But maybe this dichotomy is just a reminder that minimalism can be deceiving and it’s often not just about how things look.
Minimalism is a matter of intentions, and it’s a matter of purpose.
How about the seasons of our lives? I don’t know which one’s the most minimalistic but for sure I feel like I’m in a transitional one. Things are changing and evolving, and that’s a good thing. FormFeelingFunction is slowly—my fault, I’m currently insanely busy—starting to get into shape and Carl and I are working on a couple of fun projects and experiments that will hopefully go live soon enough. I can’t wait to share more with you all.
Speaking of sharing, we started a new mailing list so if you want to stay up to date on everything FFF related you should head over to formfeelingfunction.com and sign up for it.
