MINIMALISSIMO EDITED
This monthly edition of the Minimalissimo Newsletter is supported by aprile, the hanging chair
Hello and happy new year to you! Carl here, writing from a frosty corner of Scotland. Minimalism as a lifestyle principle tends to be most popular on the 1st of January, don’t you think? It’s our psychological blank canvas to begin anew. To let go of the past and regain focus and a bit of self-discipline (hopefully for more than a week!). We set goals and aspirations, form better habits, and think of how to augment our daily domestic life while making travel and work plans throughout the year. You might be coming off the back of a challenging year, or a great one. Is it time for change or more of the same? Whatever we intend to do, the common theme is to be moving forward. I’m wishing you all the best this year!
This month will also mark the launch of a minimalist creative lab called FormFeelingFunction® (FFF), where Manu and I will be embarking on a fun and experimental project to design and craft both digital and analogue understated objects such as wallpapers, websites, games, homeware accessories, and apparel. What we end up crafting is still up in the air, but I’ll certainly be taking what I’ve learned from the hundreds of talented designers who’ve had their work showcased previously on minimalissimo.com, and applying certain ingredients to our own work. Yet, like all designers, we hope to introduce something new and refreshing.
