Snapshots
We had an intense interlude with photography, giving classmates who hadn’t given much time to the medium in the past to test it out. I’ve had moments with cameras in the past, and I still have boxes and scrapbooks of photographs and film, and various film-based cameras in a box. So it didn’t feel new and overwhelming, and I was able to have fun on our two outings - one in a park, and the other at night.
Aside from taking pictures of objects from ground level, Many of my favorite pictures in the park are of textures, rather than things. At night, I like the bokeh blurs, which focuses the attention more on color, and the ghostly shapes of moving humans captured with slow shutter.
