It’s a New Year’s miracle, an issue out on its holiday! What that means is that the serial will continue closer to the next holiday, but you will not be left hanging on cliffhanger. This issue could be thought of as the end of the first novella in a series if all read at once. My only serial format concern thus far has been that a character who only existed referentially in part two shows up, and I could see readers forgetting in the intermediary who they are, but we will see.

I believe the next installment will be on Valentine’s—holidays based on real, recent figures aren’t going to be story centerpieces for reasons of tastefulness, for the most part—but the first issue of Sovereign should be out before then. I’ll have a non-fiction out once I finally make one I feel succeeds in being relatively succinct. I have put in work on longer ones, but I want a more compact one out there to get comfortable with publishing brief works and learn from the experience.
