What Writers Read: Sarah Grunder Ruiz
Last Call at the Local is a very neurodivergent book; but it isn't just for neurodivergent people

Hello readers!
Welcome to the very first edition of a brand new series on my Substack ~ What Writers Read! In these Tuesday missives, you will hear from authors of my favorite new releases ~ all about their books and the books these writers love. I can’t wait to share these pieces with you.
Today I am highlighting the fabulous Sarah Grunder Ruiz, who I have been loving since reading her 2021 debut Love, Lists, and Fancy Ships. That title was followed by Luck and Last Resorts in 2022 ~ these two books are closely tied and should be read in order. Sarah’s newest release Last Call at the Local comes out TODAY (Jan 2, 2024) and is technically the third in the series but can very much be read as a standalone. I read and loved all three of these books and am excited that Sarah agreed to join us here!
I hope you enjoy meeting Sarah ~ let’s jump right in!
