Three Novels Featuring the Complexities of Womanhood

catching up on 2025 releases

Well hello there, happy Tuesday!

Before I start talking about books, I need report back on sewing class from Saturday. I was very right about the Donny Shirt pattern not being my style, so while my end result is technically correct and does fit quite well, I really don’t see myself wearing it that often. I’m very glad I used recycled fabric this time around!

When trying to figure out WHY it’s not my style, I realized I don’t love how deep the neckline is (although I could raise that in future iterations), but mostly it’s just that I am always throwing on and taking off a top layer at work, and the sleeves, collar and neckline of this shirt make that kind of tough to do without readjustment. I own ZERO other short sleeved collared shirts, and now I know why! All of my base layers need to be able to accommodate another layer with zero fuss given my consistent lack of time and a mirror at work.

Okay, moving on to the books …

Today I’m sharing three novels I read last week that really encompass so many iterations of womanhood and their related quandaries, conundrums, struggles and joys. All of these books released in 2025, and solidified my decision to continue working my way through last year’s books I never got to ~ I really liked all three of these!
