Hello readers!
This week’s newsletter brings a glimpse into my (quiet) camera roll for the past month and an eclectic selection of books to share ~ let’s dive in!
It’s so funny to look at my camera roll every January and February because invariably, there are so few pictures compared to the warmer months. I try to make sure I take one picture of myself during the period just for future record-keeping purposes (did I even exist during that time???), but I have exactly two kid pictures from the last month, lots of sleeping dogs, my newest puzzle finish, my plant corner, and a glorious glimpse of sun after a long January period of heavy grey. And of course the requisite screenshots and random things (ex: funny ways people park at the grocery store) I take pictures of to text to certain people that no one else would understand. In the summer and fall I document every second because nature is gorgeous, the light is perfect and long, and adventures are plenty. During holidays and travels I take the expected pictures because it’s just what we do. But this is my dormant documentation period. And that’s okay.
