Hello readers!
The beginning of a new year is so much fun because it lets me get excited about all the new titles to come ~ the possibilities are plentiful! My book notebook is filling up quickly with all of the books I want to read in 2024 and I have already read a bunch of great fiction titles releasing in the first third of the year.
Nonfiction is trickier for me, though, because I’m a lot pickier about what types of this genre that I’ll dedicate my time and attention to. Self help and business and how-to and true crime and textbook-like tomes are big NOPES for me, and those are often the buzziest titles. I also really don’t want to read books about my profession (education) in my free time unless they’re memoirs. I want nonfiction books that pull me into a narrative and show me how people live and think. I want to learn, but not just be buried in facts. I want inspiration, but not to be told how to live my own precious life.
