This edition of the stacks brings you a reading miss from last week along with a collection of favorite books featuring lonely older people who make younger friends. Also, your May journal pages! I’m on a concert road trip this weekend with my daughter and two of our friends and there is not much that makes me happier than this kind of adventure!

Speaking of music, if you love folk music and appreciate whimsy, I can’t recommend The OkeeDokee Brothers highly enough! My girls and I fell in love with their album Winterland in December, and are now obsessed with their newest album Brambletown. After me using their songs SO MANY TIME in Instagram stories and Reels, they reached out and asked if we’d like a copy of Brambletown (out now!) and we said YES!
