I think there might be two (more) types of people in this world ~ people who really need gold stars and people who don’t need them quite as much. When I messaged a good friend last week celebrating the fact that I DIDN’T CRY during or after a work meeting I had been dreading and she texted back with virtual gold stars, I realized that damn it, I DO really need gold stars to make it through this world. And thank goddess for friends who are there to provide them.
