Well hello there, happy Tuesday!

I am starting to wrap up my summer in preparation for returning to work next week, and WOW have I made the most of it! I returned home Sunday night from an absolutely magical adventure with my sister-in-law, niece, and oldest daughter and will be gone again this coming weekend for a much shorter and closer-to-home excursion. Then it’s … over.

My summers “off” when the kids were little were tests of endurance, of patience, and some of the longest days of my life. Of course there was sweetness and lovely memories were made, but summers back then weren’t really for adventuring or traveling or resting ~ I was ON all the time, and solo parenting even more so than during the school year. Back in those days, returning to work was a bit of a relief because routine would be restored. But now? I’m fine going back, but damn did the last 9 weeks FLY!
