It’s time for … August’s Bookish Time Capsule!

For the fifth month now, I am sharing books that I read and loved that month in past years, going all the way back to 2015. This serves you with more backlist book recommendations to request from the library or find at used bookshops, and gives me a chance to mine my reading archives for those gems I want to savor again. Win - win!

It was so interesting to look back at my August reading from each year and remember viscerally the variation in just how stressed and busy I was during the back-to-school period each year. The years I changed schools or positions had WAY fewer books, with more of them being escapism reads, and the years I was returning to a building were more diverse and plentiful. Still, even with that transition happening every year in August, I still found 59 books from the past nine years to share with you!

I yet again created a PDF for you in addition to the exclusive Bookshop collection to help you with library holds and such. I hope you enjoy perusing the books that have brought me so much joy in July over the past 10 years!
