Russian warship...

Go f**k yourself.

Hey, friends.

What are we, six years into Living Through History at this point? Half my daughter’s life. Small wonder we’re all so tired.

Spent a bit of time this morning trawling Etsy for shops in Ukraine that sell downloads (so no one has to bother with a post office right now).

I bought from four shops —

CrossStitchWithArt

CuteAndCreepyDolls

TOTOshopUA

and

PlannerRoomShop

If you want to do something similar, just search “download” on Etsy, then click “all filters,” scroll down and type “Ukraine” into the shop location field.

I had a brief correspondence with one of the sellers — Yulia, of TOTOshopUA in Kyiv. Because I am a lady of refinement and good judgment, I added “fuck Russia,” to my note. “Thank you for the warmth of your heart🙏🇺🇦❣,” she replied. “I pray to God for the protection of Ukraine!”

Us too, Yulia.

I had planned to update you on several projects, but the morning’s gotten away from me so I’ll have to do it later. Maybe later today, maybe later this week.

However, I do need to mention that orders for Wonder Woman: Historia Book 2 are due from comic shops to the distributor on Monday, so if you’re planning on picking the book up, it would be a huge help to us if you could let your shop know by TOMORROW. If you have a relationship with your local shop already, you know how to do that.

If you need to find a local shop, look here.

If you want to mail order, you can email my friends at Books With Pictures Eugene at bookswpictures@gmail.com and they’ll hook you up.

Or you can search #mailordercomics on Twitter.

Or you can just use one of these easy Midtown Comics links:

  • Gene Ha Cover (The hidden face there? HE DOES IT ALL THROUGHOUT THE BOOK!!)

  • Becky Cloonan Cover (Becky chose Demeter, because of course she did and HOLY SHIT she’s just so insanely perfect.)

This book is 64 pages and it’s not monthly, so it’s going to be especially hard for retailers to gauge how many to order. The first book was a huge success, but numbers always drop for second issues and if we want to be able to do all nine books (and bring Phil back for book nine!!), we need to keep the numbers up as much as possible. Your help is, as always, appreciated.

Book One (with Phil Jimenez) covered the birth of the Amazons. Book Two (with Gene Ha) explains how we ended up with more than the 30 Original Amazons and ends with the start of—

—I probably shouldn’t tell you that.

Gene Ha on interiors, Wesley Wong on colors. Clayton Cowles handles our lettering, as always. I’m so, so pleased.

Okay. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Love you,

Kelly Sue
