Because it is a holiday weekend here in the United States (and Canada Day back home) I thought I would take a moment to reflect on the past six months since I started this newsletter.
This isn’t really a microprinciple. It’s some common sense I’m directing back at myself, via you.
First some cold, hard numbers:
276 subscribers (thank you)
13 paid subscribers (bless you)
28 posts (feels like more, honestly)
60.5% is my 30 day open rate (I’m OK with that)
When I started out, I thought writing something every week would be a slog, but instead it has been energizing. It’s mostly a matter of kneading dough into shapes and popping them into the oven. It’s satisfying.
The most popular post is Knowledge is not the same as information. The least popular is one called Just make it edible, which doesn’t sound appetizing at all. My personal favorite, so far, is Be careful what you get good at. I think about that one a lot.
While I’m in this reflective mood, I’d like to offer deep gratitude to my paid subscribers and those readers who hit reply and share occasional feedback, thoughts, and encouragement. I appreciate you!
