Over here at Michigan-IO headquarters, the anticipation of a new season is palpable. There are three things we wanted to check in on. The Three Things of Spring, The Three Spring Things, if you will.

This will be our big summer kickoff concert. Our first time performing at the great "Merchant Hall" space next to Brew Merchant. Much like that one awkward Thanksgiving dinner at Uncle Steve's house...it will be a night to remember (but for more positive uplifting reasons this time).

Midtown Summer Concert Series

And then we have a very cool opportunity this summer to curate and host a concert series at the Midtown Center on Tuesday nights for their "Food Truck Tuesdays." We will announce the full schedule of music soon, but MIO will feature 3 times....June 11, July 30, and August 27!

Patreon Announcement

As we have done this project these last years we have discovered so much goodness beyond the songs we play and record. There are countless stories, photos, history, etc that we have been trying to find a way to share. So we are launching a Patreon that will be an avenue for some regular audio, video, written dispatches from the world of Michigan folk music and Alan Lomax and its subsidiaries.
