Micael Widell Newsletter #56

Captain's log

We had an unusually snowy December in my hometown Stockholm, and also of course in Boden where I usually spend Christmas – so I did a bit of winter wonderland photography during the month. So enjoyable! Here is my photo walk in Stockholm, and here is my walk in Boden.

I also did the yearly "what's in my bag" video with my favorite cameras, lenses and other gear for the upcoming macro photography season.

Lastly, I summarised the year in this video. And the conclusion is, that I am living my dream – and I am so grateful for every day I get to keep doing photography and youtube videos. I would keep doing it even if I didn't earn a dime, because it is so fulfilling to me.

Right now I am pumped for spring and macro season of 2024! But before that I hope to do a bit of mixed non-macro and macro photography, and also a little bit of travel. First up is a short trip to Italy in January!
