Captain’s log
November was a good month. It was the first month since I started making youtube videos 5 years ago, that I could take out a livable salary only from the last 30 days of Youtube income. A milestone!
The weather was dark, wet and gloomy, as it often is where I live during the month of November. So I did no wildlife photography, and barely any outdoor macro photography (except this water drop walk which I think yielded great results!).
But I did a lot of indoor macro photography videos and fun experiments, see the bottom of this e-mail for a list of them :)

My New Favorite Youtube Channel
During the month I ran into a photography youtube channel that just made my jaw drop. Imagine a channel with camera and lens reviews, but it takes place in a beautiful sci-fi universe and the videos are filmed like a hollywood production – this is the best way I can describe GxAce’s channel.
After watching his video about the Hasselblad XPAN I was instantly hooked, and promply went on to binge watch most of his videos. How have I missed his channel until now? It’s been around for 5 years.

My Favorite Waterdrop Photos
For my Patreon bonus video this month, I did a forest water droplet photo walk, and turned that into a tutorial with my best tips on how to capture hanging waterdrops. I was very pleased with the photos that came out of it, so I just want to show some of my favorites here. These are probably my favorite water drop photos that I have ever taken.
All of the photos were taken with my Sony A7IV and Laowa 85mm lens. No flash. High ISO.
