Captain’s log
June was crazy (this is the title of my latest video summarizing the month)! For the first time since I started my YouTube channel I was able to truly work full time on Youtube. It resulted in 12 videos (the normal for me is 3-5 videos per month) and crazy growth on YouTube. My channel grew from around 3500 views/day which I have been getting for the past two years, to around 15000 views/day. And I have been having so much fun making these videos and seeing this growth. I also created my most ambitious Patreon bonus video ever, and got 20 new Patreon supporters during the month.
So it has, without a doubt, been the most successful month for me since I started the youtube channel in 2017. And I am so grateful that all my hard work over the years has finally started to pay off. Although I hesitate a bit to call it hard work, because to me it 100% feels like play. In a way, I feel like the first five years of this channel has just been warmup – a prestudy – and now I’m about to start for real, since I can finally put serious time and effort into it.
During the next 4-5 weeks the kids are home from preschool because it is closed over summer, and me and my family are going to do a bit of travelling within Sweden. So I won’t publish 12 videos in July. But probably a few. In August I will be back again in full force, ready to blast out videos like I did in June.
