hello all- it’s been quiet over here, mostly because i’ve been busy with other work and i haven’t been home a lot this past month. i’m taking some time to rest but in the meantime i have some things queued in the background. i’m also including some links from my desktop at the bottom of this letter if you’re hungry for some new media to ingest. read what you want and leave the rest!

⋆☁︎。 web updates ⋆☾⋆
first off, i made the new sunflower header for the newsletter. i was doodling a little bit just for fun and remembered that i’ve been wanting to make a header for this newsletter. i like it for now, but maybe i will change it eventually. i probably will… lol. i also added a link for ANTi zine in the links area with the header.
i really would like to focus on my websites again this year. i got comfortable again on mega-platforms, i got sucked in again (mainly instagram) because many groups i follow update there only. so, i know i need at least one account that i can log onto every now and then but i don’t want it on my phone and i don’t want to post there. i know i get sucked in because it’s built to be addictive. and i simply don’t want to contribute to the unethical cash cow that is meta - no shame to those that use meta apps. in some cases, it is a necessary evil. for me, i am attempting to draw a boundary with myself to ensure it does not need to be necessary in my life.
i’m working to create a photo ‘feed’ similar to instagram but it will be hosted on my website, because i honestly love sharing my little pictures and sharing my life. hopefully sometime in the next few months i can have that established, along with my shop.
i’ve got some new stickers on the way for my patreon sticker club subscribers. it’s a gator on a bike because i’ve been riding my bike more… more on that in a bit.

i’m also writing a piece for my substack that i will hopefully be sharing today, if not tomorrow! click here to follow my substack.
⋆。゚ farm updates ⋆ ゚
i’ve got a plan in place for my front and back lawns and it’s about time for me to break ground. i’m scared! i am going to till and scrape the grass rhizomes out, add compost, till in, and then add mulch from a chip drop to create pathways. then it will be time to begin planting. for the summer, i will be planting okra, watermelon, and seminole pumpkins, and tons of flowers. i’m scareddddddd lol. i guess it just makes me nervous to think a hurricane can come and sweep it all away. but i am trying to remember that there are plenty of farms dealing with this year after year, with a lot more land, and they learn and adapt. i have a plethora of experts that i can turn to. i just need to do it and move forward.
here are some pics tho of my harvests from my container garden:

i have some ideas of what i want to call this land, but i’m still simmering on it. i will likely share more about that in a few months.

my apprenticeship at everoak farms in orlando is in it’s final quarter. i began working here in august, and the season ends in the last week of june. it’s been inspiring to see the transformation of the farm over the last 8 months. things are becoming more streamlined and organized, and i’m learning so much. if you live in orlando and are seriously considering working on a farm, i highly recommend this apprenticeship to see if that is what you truly want. it is not paid work, but you get fresh food every week which has drastically cut down my grocery bill by $30-$40 each week. i also met some new friends, and vastly expanded my network of land workers. i’m so grateful for the opportunity.

i also have helped with a community garden in winter park by growing some starts and making signs. the org i’m helping is called the human compassion project.

☁︎。⋆ misc updates ☾ ゚⋆
i think i am going to start a new casual bike ride group in orlando. there aren’t many casual rides here in orlando, and i never wanted to be the one to host the same thing week after week. like i wanna go when i want, not be the one who must be there each week. then it hit me! i can host the ride whenever i want. it doesn’t have to meet at the same time on the same day every week. and so, ‘sometimes we ride’ is born.

i have an instagram page for it, when i am ready i plan for it to just be a space to hold the link for the website and rules to live on, whenever people inevitably look for the ride on instagram. i have the website bones in place, i just need to style it (i’m on my ipad and it’s hard to code on it so i am waiting til i get home to launch it). here’s the flier i put together.

will update when i have more info!

everything i create is made without artificial intelligence. i am staunchly against AI, and will never use it to replace or ‘assist’ my creative process.
