it’s another week here in ‘orlando’ and i am busy working through my to-do list.
i have many projects happening simultaneously - artworks, websites, gardening, researching… just to be brief. my work update will include anything and everything i am doing for…well, work.

❀ i am currently working on a zine about edible weeds in central florida!
i am about done with my research, so now it is onto the actual creation of the zine. once it is ready, i will make sure you are the first to know 🤠
❀ i am working on migrating my work off of instagram/google/substack and hosting it all on my own website.
it’s a tough decision to make, but the more and more i read Social Media Escape Club and the more i learn about these tech CEO’s, the less time i want to spend there, given we live in an attention economy. (read more in the section titled, “my lil’ life” at the end of this letter.

i have another page on instagram, the working class farmer, where i post updates on my garden and foraging notes. in order to hop off of there, i am creating a website. this little project will be a work in progress for awhile, since i have other things that have priority right now, but i look forward to building out the site! building new sites is actually fun for me. it’s like a little branding project, which i enjoy!

✮⋆˙ magnolia sugar- i foraged some magnolia petals, dried them in the oven (200 degrees, place them on a baking sheet evenly -do not overlap petals, bake for 10-15 minutes, flip, bake for another 10-15, until dried out) and mixed them with some regular sugar. i plan to use this in some baking project soon.

for now, i am integrating all of my work and archives off of google and meta platforms. i downloaded all of my stuff from google drives, so those are empty now. i am looking out for other email providers. i know most people use proton, but i use that for one account already (ANTizine@proton.me) and after that, you have to pay. i am considering it, although i am very broke so i have been cutting expenses and trying to not add any… so, i will keep pondering until i just make a decision!
i am also trying my best to get off of instagram. it’s the only social media i use. i thought, oh, i need this in order to reach new people. to be real, though, i don’t get many new followers organically anyway.
i will be doing my best to submit to each of the open calls above as well, between some light commission work and pet-sitting gigs.
