Hey there!
Here's your weekly newsletter from me, Matt Glaman!
I wasn't able to sit down and get out a blog post, but here are some other updates!
MidCamp recap!
Last week was MidCamp; all of the session recordings are uploaded to YouTube!
If you're interested in generative AI, there were a handful of sessions about using ChatGPT and other models during your day-to-day or within your Drupal site:
- ChatGPT for Drupal content editors
- Prompt Engineering, Generative AI, and Drupal
- Ethical Implications of Artificial Intelligence
You can also watch the recording of my Tighten up your Drupal code with PHPStan. It's nearly the same as my Florida DrupalCamp version with minor adjustments.
It's even easier to generate Drupal themes!
The issue to add a starterkit.yml
file for configuring starterkit themes has finally landed! I wrote about this issue earlier in the month and how it will improve the frontend developer experience around maintaining starterkit themes.
Work is back underway to make Olivero a starterkit theme so it can be a launching pad for new site themes.

- Onboarding roulette: deleting our employee accounts daily
- Certain processes are bumpy and kind of remain that way due to one-time pain, like onboarding or other setup. I found it interesting that this company delete's their development team's product account and requires a random engineer to onboard each day to ensure the process is as smooth as it can be.
