Hello, friends. It’s been a minute.

You’re receiving this email because you subscribed to Metafoundry, the personal newsletter of Deb Chachra.

It’s been in hibernation mode while much else has been happening around it, but now the indicator lights are winking back on, small whirring sounds can be heard, and transmission tests have begun. There may be a few glitches as it comes back online.

[If you’re not sure who I am or why you’re here, the links above might help, or you might recognize me here or here.]

The next dispatch will be a personal update, after which you can expect the occasional missive about whatever I’m thinking about at the moment. That’s still mostly infrastructural systems — energy and networks, past and future — but I’ve also begun to spend more time with the interplay between abstraction and materiality (so far, that’s included how people describe the feeling of touching sharks, the sensation of crunchiness, YInMn blue, and much more).

I’m excited about reopening this channel, and do please feel free to reply to this email and say hello. Or if Metafoundry is no longer for you, the unsubscribe link is below. Either way, I appreciate your time and attention.
