dirty hands

Dear friends

One new post on the blog this week: dirty hands, prompted by a Gastropod episode on the history of white versus whole wheat bread. Steve Jones of The Bread Lab describes how the push for factory bread was, in part, about keeping immigrant hands off the dough.

No baking from me the next few weeks I'm afraid as I am away building an oven!
