real quick

A statue of the god Mercury running and carrying a caduceus, the distinctive winged staff entwined with two snakes. You may think this has a medical meaning, but the medical symbol is actually the Rod of Asclepius, which has no wings and only a single snake. But wait a minute, you're saying, I've definitely seen the caduceus used to advertise medical businesses. Yes you have, and it's WRONG. Except that Mercury is the god of commerce, so maybe it's just an unusually truthful representation of the US medical system.
A rare ancient depiction of Mercury in which the junk is not on display. You’re welcome.

Hey, nothing new just week, just these reminders:

Improv for Alcoholics starts next Wednesday (3/26). Tell anyone you know who goes to meetings that they don’t talk about (or that they talk about entirely too much).

In April Mercury Monthly returns to its usual slot on the third Tuesday of the month (4/15). If you’ve taken an introductory class with me this is a great opportunity to dip back in for a night and meet folks from other classes.

And of course our gateway drug Improv for Introverts is gearing up for another session starting 4/14.

That’s it. Please tell people about this stuff! I hope to see you in class soon.

Till then,
John
