introverts assemble (a paradox)

Automat by Edward Hopper, an oil painting which depicts a young woman alone at a table drinking from a mug in what looks like a commercial establishment. Behind her is a large plate glass window that shows only darkness beyond but which reflects rows of lights on the ceiling of the room. I did not get permission to use Edward Hopper's work but on the other hand I also didn't use AI to gin up a fake Edward Hopper painting. If you ever want to be bored to tears, ask me to list all the reasons I hate AI. We'll be there a while.
An introvert in her natural state

Another edition of Improv for Introverts is starting this Thursday! If you haven’t taken it yet, it’s time. This is Mercury Improv’s flagship class, a super-supportive, super-low-pressure introduction to improv fundamentals. It’s really fun! (And if you have taken it, you should know that a lot of people take it twice and really dig it the second time. No pressure, though.)

Also coming up: another free intro class on May 7th and the increasingly popular Mercury Monthly workshop on May 20th. Check ‘em out if you’re so inclined.

Later taters,
John
