improv for everybody (and some very specific subgroups)

If you know, you know.

Wow, not to brag, but Mercury Improv is a roiling cauldron of activity.1 For instance: The first-ever Improv for RPGs Character Workshop is happening on November 22nd. For years my students who play D&D and similar roleplaying games have been telling me I should do this and so here it is, finally.

This is a distillation of all the character creation work we do in Improv for Introverts, minus all the stuff that’s irrelevant to playing an RPG (establishing location, physically representing reality onstage, etc.). I’m getting pretty psyched about getting to spend three whole hours on character work.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE: If you want to do this workshop with a friend, you can sign up two people at once and get 30 bucks off the total price!

Improv for (Smallish) Gatherings

Here’s another new and fun thing: You can get a Mercury Improv introductory class delivered right to your door! I did one of these the other night for a small dinner party, and we had a blast. (Your party will too.) This is a super-chill, zero-anxiety introduction to improv: Nobody has to play scenes, nobody gets singled out, everyone is just being silly together.

Ideally, this is for six to twelve people who are teenagers or older, but there’s some leeway. Email me for more information.

Improv for Introverts

But for those of you who want the full-on six-week real deal, there’s always Mercury Improv’s flagship class. Improv for Introverts is a supportive, low-pressure introduction to the fundamentals of improv designed specifically for non-performers. It’s fun, it’s freeing, and it will rewire your brain in the best possible way. The next class starts January 7th and if you think you might want to be in it, you’re right. Sign up here to change your life permanently and for the better.2

All right, that seems like plenty. More soon!

Till then,
John
