come crash

Hey everybody, I’m delighted to announce that Mercury Improv’s Improv for Introverts class is now available in a highly concentrated CRASH COURSE format. This is a bracing immersion in the basic principles covered in our flagship class, distilled and refined into four very fun hours of improv power. It’s happening on Saturday April 25th from 11 am to 4 pm or so. (We’ll take a break midway through, jeez. We’re not barbarians.)
Mostly this is for people who can’t do the regular six-week class for scheduling reasons (it’s a night class, it’s six weeks long, etc.) but it’s also perfect for a certain kind of introvert. Some people look at a six-week class and think “Yay, a fun thing to do on Wednesdays” but some of us look at it and think “Wait, I have to leave my house six different times?” So I’m hoping a class where you only have to go into the world once will have some appeal.
More immediately, the next regular session of Improv for Introverts starts April 1st, which is next Wednesday. If you haven’t taken it yet, this is the best improv class in Austin for anxious non-performers, and if you have taken it, maybe it’s time for a refresher course! (A few people from the current class have already signed up for the next one; this is more common than you might think.) And don’t forget that there’s a $50 discount when you register two people at once!
To take us out, here’s Carl Newman with the official Crash Course anthem.
I hope to see you in one of these soon!
Till then,
John
