alcoholics, introverts, and other target demographics

Hey friends, I’m very excited to announce a new Mercury Improv class: the inaugural session of Improv for Alcoholics will be running on Wednesdays for six weeks starting March 26th.
In classic Mercury Improv tradition, the title is slightly misleading, since this is really for anybody in any kind of recovery program. I’d been sober for a while when I first started improv and was kind of blown away by how much overlap there is, and over the years a lot of students have made that same connection. As usual, the idea here is to attract people who might not otherwise try improv.
If you’re not in recovery, no worries! The class for you is Improv for Introverts, and fortunately there’s a new session starting tomorrow night! So if you’ve been meaning to do this but were waiting for a sign that the time was right, here it is.
And if you’re already part of the rapidly-growing Mercury Improv Extended Universe, don’t forget that there’s another Mercury Monthly workshop next Tuesday. I know you’d expect me to say that the first one was a blast, but it really was. (I will also say that it’s really fun to see people from different classes meet and play together for the first time.)
That feels sufficient. Tell all your friends in recovery about the new class, and sign up for something. You won’t regret it! I hope to see you soon.
Till then,
John
