An Ode to Libraries

Are you supposed to outgrow libraries? I hope not. I never will.

Recently I ran across a display of books with “older adult main character energy” and the display led me to “The Witches of Moonshyne Manor.” Happened to be the perfect book for this week.

Just like the display said, it’s nice to see a book where most of the main characters are not in their early twenties. No, I’m not going to tell you exactly how old I am. But I’m certainly not in my twenties anymore and this book masterfully mixes regrets, penance, solutions and resilience into an engaging plot with likable misfits. These women are who I want to grow up to be.

Other news? My marketing manager (me) met with the editorial department (me) and the production lead (me) and we’ve decided Blessed By the Algorithm will be published as a physical book.

Will this be the first of my books to end up in a library? One can hope. Did you know you can’t just donate specific books to libraries? The librarians choose the books they order with input from patrons.
