Remember in September I said I’d give myself a few weeks off? Well, I have a confession. I haven’t started the new book yet. I have a plot and a first page though. I’m thinking … revenge plot? Crypto-bro? Cryptically vague, I know. But it’s a start.

I’ve been making socks and trying out lentil curry soup recipes. Oh, and picking back up some sewing projects that I’d been meaning to get to all summer.

So you all are going to be my accountability partners. I will write at least one chapter in the next months.

For your part, I hope everyone is seeing family or chosen family over the next few weeks for whatever you celebrate. When I’m stressed and worried, my instinct is often to isolate. But keeping those relationships strong is what keeps us strong. That’s not just a platitude - there’s actual research on loneliness and mental health. :)
