Trending Tuesday: We have found this weeks winning formats for youđŸ’Ș

Dear recipient

When the news seems to change every few seconds, it’s actually refreshing to see that some social media trends are keeping a steady pace 😅

Welcome to another week of Trending Tuesday. Your weekly curated overview of what’s trending right now on social media - made using TRNDSET.com

Everything is based on real-time data so you can stay ahead of the curve

Home interior: We are continuously interested in cleaning our homes as such, the trend from last week is still on the rise. Key hashtags are #cleantok and #renovation with best performing formats being: "Before-and-after transformations", home organization tips, and challenges in keeping spaces tidy. In numbers, this trend has 8.9 million impressions and 600k engagements, across a 50/50 split on TikTok and Instagram, peaking on August 11th.

Travel: Maybe you have seen them around if you live there, as this trend suggests an increase in tourists. Currently trending is good old Copenhagen. Driving this trend is culinary delights, and quality of life with summer amplifying its charm. Denmark is expensive as such tourists are seeking out “budget-friendly local gems”  in search of the “authentic experiences” -  especially the best picnic spots, are having a moment. Copenhagen is portrayed less as a weekend getaway, and more as a lifestyle destination.

Fashion: Sustainability used to be a buzzword within fashion. Now, buying second-hand is just as good. Sometimes even more “trendy” than purchasing a new item. Currently trending is “Sustainability and thrifting”. With 1 million impressions, it is the uniqueness, personal stories behind every item, mixed with “eco-friendly” consumption which creators are highlighting in their content. Following this week's trend, it is no longer cool to own the latest. Rather the rarest, oldest, best quality items and how you style them are scoring high with audiences.

Beauty: One brand is driving the most engagement with 13 million impressions over the last week, Rare beauty. Content focused on the release of their new  fragrance “Rare Eau de Parfum”. The new innovative, inclusive “wide” spray mechanism and the layering balms are engaging audiences. With one perfume, the balms let you create, enhance and personalize each wear. This is the perfume experience creators are currently reviewing. Using the format “deep-dive”, "review" or test through “long lasting wear". Both formats work as peer review with audiences.

Food: Have you heard the term “grazing”? It’s the act of snacking all day long. It looks like we are collectively on a snacking high, with 1 million impressions over the last week. Currently trending is Recipes for Snacks. Based on the data from our algorithm, here are some ideas for you to post “Nutritious Snack Recipes for On-the-Go” and "Protein- packed treats". Audiences are not just seeking inspiration for themselves, but also their kids with "Colorful and Nutritious Lunch Box Inspirations"

Health: Food and health go together. The trend of “snacking” has also found its way within the health community this week. Quick, healthy and easy cooking is this week's trend. The winning format is “cooking demonstration” as creators show the whole process from ingredients to finished dish. Audiences are especially connecting with content that focus on “High protein snack recipes”, “Healthy meals using pantry staples”, and “Creative ways to use leftovers”. Suggesting a budget friendly approach to this trend would do well within the community.

Top creators: Audiences want joy in their feed, or so it seems - as the most trending format within top creators is “Dance challenges”. Around 6 million in impressions and 600k in engagement with 79% on TikTok as the platform this trend is thriving. It is not overly polished or the same dance being performed over and over again. Rather it is all about having fun with playful choreography. Paired with popular tracks often labeled as “Music millennials love”.

See you next Tuesday - Hope you have a great week đŸ„ł
