Have you taken your mental wellbeing break? I'm in the middle of mine.

Starting off my relative silence with a grounding exercise by Innermade's Irisa Xiong; it really is about giving yourself reason to pause before diving head long into something critical, something you forgot overnight, something your boss may check in on when the work day kicks off in a few hours.

How have you all been? I didn't have much to talk about, so I didn't write.

Ironically, I was working on my first ever global Mental Health campaign, while still having a Delta-spiced worry cloud fogging my head. The campaign went amazingly well after stepping into cultural potholes. While I'm taking this win for what it is, I'm wondering as I always do, that if I don't take the initiative, how come no one else sees the need to take it? Over the past month, I've come to realise that the winging through life that some choose to take, gets more and more apparent and I actually should call that poor behaviour out. To save patience down the road.

I've also busied myself these past couple of Saturdays walking through Jalan Besar with my favourite OH! crew. It's amazing what sunlight (ok, Singapore sun is a tad too scorching) can do for your mood and I really missed walking and engaging with people. If you don't have plans for 2 Oct (1.30pm) or 9 Oct (1pm) and want to walk with me, there's still a few slots available as of this email.

You-never-know links

  • A friend is going through a very difficult time starting a business from scratch, but hasn't let that keep her down. She even had time to send me this song "Self Love" by Zen. Maybe it'll help you too.

  • If you're in the market for a new job and don't know how to speak about how much you're worth, maybe this can guide you.

  • Fast fashion truly ruins the environment, and while I kinda knew the gisty why, the visuals in this article really brought it home for me.

  • Wishing you love, because it's so much better than holding on to the what if's, and why not's.

Make time for yourself

I took three days off work this week, and it's likely the best move ever in the past few months. Also, this is me after having a swim and jumping into a fake onsen (read: tub with hot water).
