Mech Interp Workshop @ ICML 2026

Hi all,

We're excited to announce that the Mechanistic Interpretability Workshop is returning - this time at ICML 2026 in Seoul, South Korea, on either July 10 or 11.

Call for Papers

Our call for papers is now live: https://mechinterpworkshop.com/cfp/

Key dates:

  • Paper submission deadline: May 8, 2026

  • Paper decisions released: June 12, 2026

  • Workshop date: July 10 or 11, 2026 (TBD)

We welcome submissions on all aspects of mechanistic interpretability — from new methods and tools to applications, evaluations, and theoretical foundations. Full details on scope and formatting are on the CFP page.

The workshop is non-archival, so we welcome work at any stage — including papers already accepted to the ICML main conference, papers currently under review at NeurIPS, and unpublished work.
