Now and Again 001: Neighborhood texture
Introducing a weekly pictorial — a break in the rhythm of Miscellanea for pure visual pleasure
Created as a personal directive for making more, I’m introducing Now and Again, a weekly pictorial with one rule: they’ve gotta be photos from the past week. Whether themed or themeless, I do hope you enjoy this more regular dose of imagery.
This week, a simple set from a golden-hour walk in the neighborhood. More recently I’ve been walking the neighborhood to which we moved last August as a way of learning this uncommon sect of the city. It has its quirks, but familiar themes have come to the forefront — it is lush and overgrown, dotted with development, mostly aging, and bathed in warm wet light.
