THE GREAT RIVER REGIONAL BRIEF - ISSUE 4→

Issue 4 opens the region’s next phase of coordinated safety work. As communities prepare for spring, residents and civic partners are looking for clarity, structure, and a shared path forward. This edition introduces Crime‑Resilient Community Coordination — May 2026, the regional event that will align sectors, strengthen communication, and set the year’s stability framework in motion. Today’s front page announces the event and opens early registration for those who want updates as details are released.

CRIME RESILIENT MINNESOTA

A Statewide Call to Rebuild What Was Broken

Announcement:

Crime‑Resilient Community Alignment - SPRING SESSION 2026

Good morning, Great River Communities.

Today we are opening early registration for a regional event that will shape the next decade of community safety across the Great River corridor. In May, leaders, residents, educators, first responders, and civic partners will gather for a coordinated session on Crime‑Resilient Community Coordination — the region’s next major step toward long‑term stability.

This event is not a conference. It is a regional alignment session designed to unify sectors, strengthen communication pathways, and equip communities with the tools needed to reduce vulnerability and build measurable resilience.

What the May Event Will Deliver

  • A shared regional safety framework
  • Sector‑specific coordination sessions
  • Neighborhood‑level crime‑resilience tools
  • The 2026–2027 Stability Roadmap
  • Clear roles, responsibilities, and communication channels

This is the moment the region moves from preparation to coordinated action.

Why This Matters Now

The Great River Region is entering a new phase of community stabilization after an overwhelming winter we had. Residents are asking for clarity. Civic workers are asking for alignment. Families are asking for safety. The May event brings these needs into one room and establishes the structure that carries us through the year.
