Hello friends! As you may know respected public intellectual Jessa Crispin recently pointed out that EVERYBODY has a book club now.

Thank goodness that was right after I announced our book club, or else I might have thought twice.

But we’re not everybody, and here’s how this book club is different from your usual book club:

1. I shan’t be serving cheap wine and rubbery cheese. (I know we’re meeting online. But still! I would never do that to you.)

2. Probably everyone will read the book

3. We won’t just read but we will DO stuff

4. You ALL get to talk and be heard! This will not be one of those joints where a single strong personality hogs all the airtime.

5. Nor will it be a bunch of posturing that you need to nod sagely to while shriveling inside. Nothing high-falutin will be happening here; it’s not literature, it’s self-help.
