I read three whole books this month.

One of them was my own, the final copyedits for The Origin of Storms, which is finally scheduled for next spring and I have seen a cover sketch which is going to look fabulous.

One was Val McDermid’s Broken Ground, which is Karen Pirie #5, and yet another pretty clever cold case mystery. I read these as much for the character studies as for the mysteries, honestly.

And the final one was a cookbook, Fermented Vegetables by Kirsten Shockley, which does what it says on the tin.
